Chili with Tomato Sauce
Delicious and simple chili.

- 2 lbs ground beef
- 2 garlic cloves chopped
- 1 28 ounce can tomato sauce
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- ¼ cup masa harina
- 2 15 ounce cans pinto beans (drained and rinsed)
- Shredded cheddar for serving
- Chopped green onions for serving
- Sour cream for serving
Place ground beef in a large deep pot and add garlic. Cook over medium heat until browned while breaking up into chunks with a spatula. Drain any excess grease. Add tomato sauce, chili powder, cumin, oregano, salt and cayenne pepper. Mix well. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
Place masa harina in a small bowl and add ½ cup water and mix together. Dump masa harina mixture into the chili. Mix well. Add beans and simmer for 10 minutes. Serve with shredded cheddar, green onions and sour cream.
