Our house is new to the quinoa scene, but so far, we are huge fans. We tried this Garlic and Herb Quinoa recipe and now we are hooked! The seasoning in this recipe is simple, yet delicious when combined with the quinoa taste. I recommend rinsing the quinoa well, as there is a slightly unpleasant, but strong-tasting powder that naturally coats the grains (some people do like it, though). Quinoa is very filling and, what is even better is that it has less calories and carbs and more protein and fiber than rice. It is a great healthier alternative to rice, and I must say (as an avid rice fan), that it does work well as a replacement. Confession: I also add a sprinkle of grated parmesan cheese to mine just to add an extra punch to the flavor. From the Monster Foodies to you—love what you eat and enjoy!
