Parmesan herb butter noodles makes a great dish to serve with pretty much any type of meat such as chicken, pork or steak. I served these buttered noodles with oven baked chicken breasts. This side dish is simple to prepare and for the herbs, you can pretty much use whatever type of fresh herbs you want such as parsley, chives, or basil. I used a combination of parsley and chives. You can also use different types of pasta but I used egg noodles. Some other good options would be linguini or fettuccine. The noodles are cooked and then tossed with butter, olive oil, parmesan cheese and chopped fresh herbs. If you want to make these into garlic butter noodles you can sauté some garlic in a little bit of butter and add that as well. This is a very versatile recipe.
